Amy Smart, an American model, actress and actor. The modeling career she began with was in Italy which is in which she was born and raised, before being born in California. Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film which was her first film role. After a difficult fight to get a part, she was offered a role as 'Starship Troopers' in starring in Starship Troopers. Amy struggled to make the switch from modeling to acting because models are not usually considered an actor of high quality. Models are often only given minor or unimportant roles. Amy did her best to get noticed and she eventually landed larger parts beginning with The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. In 2005, she took as the lead in the romantic comedy Just Friends with Ryan Reynolds. Amy was finally recognized for the role she'd been looking for for over a decade. There were several major films in the Crank trilogy with Jason Statham. And she had a part in a series of recurring roles on The Shameless series.
