Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the child of Peter Silk, an academic, and Ilkay Silk, a multi-talented actress, director, producer, playwright, educator, and Director of Drama of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father comes from Britain, while her mother is a "Turkish English-Cypriot expat." Anna's early memories involve attending rehearsals for plays and watching her mother's her job. In her early years, Anna appeared on several television commercials. Anna relocated to Toronto in November of 1999, in order to continue her acting career. After that, she settled at Los Angeles (California) over the next ten years. Seth Cooperman met Anna at a Los Angeles actor's workshops in 2007 and the couple became engaged. Anna was a convert to the Jewish faith in 2011 after converting to Judaism. They got wed in a civil ceremony in December that year and then renewed their vows in the Jewish wedding ceremony that took place in Fredericton the month of April in 2011. Bo's same-sex romance with Lauren was highlighted in the top television Couples ever and named Top TV Couple 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Anna's fame on social media was boosted by the series.
